Design and Production on site of automated equipment for the processing of ferrous materials in cold
SAS Engineering and Planning is leader in the production of coil -to-bar, coil-to-coil and bar-to-bar Combined and Peeling Lines both for ferrous and non-ferrous metallic materials, and it has been supplying, for more than 40 years, innovative solutions in the cold finishing and drawing of tubes and complete equipments.
SAS Engineering and Planning has always taken care of the product in all its phases, operating all-round: from the design to the construction and assembly, up to the installation and the final start up on site of machines for drawing and peeling ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This is why SAS Engineering and Planning nowadays is a well known reality in the steel field and in the processing of metals on a global level, exporting its drawing lines, peeling lines and pulling units all over the world – Europe, Russia, America, Asia, Africa, Middle East and Australia – and owning different technological and processing patents recognized on an international level.
SAS Engineering and Planning doesn’t limit itself to the building of equipments for the processing of metal but goes far beyond: it builds relationships of trust with its Customers, who can always rely on the support, assistance and competence of SAS, one of the most innovative, dynamic and reliable reality in the drawing field.
Design and Production on site of Automated Equipments for the working of ferrous materials in cold
Revamping and Maintenance of Machines and Equipments
Besides the production of new and the latest generation equipments for the working of ferrous and non-ferrous materials, SAS Engineering and Planning designs and realizes everything completely in its premises thanks to a totally integrated production chain, comprehending a modern technical office for the design, its own mechanical carpentry , two mechanical workshops and three assembly plants of machines for the drawing and pealing of metals.
SAS has always been known for its proven experience in the revamping and maintenance of used lines. As from its origins, in fact, SAS doesn’t limit itself to the simple revamping of used machines but tries, in line with Customer expectations, to make those technological improvements resulting from years of experience and succesfully completed projects, which allow the final Customer to make a better use of the same equipment in terms of production efficiency and ease of operation.
When it has to support a revamping of used machines.SAS Engineering and Planning philosophy is making everything more functional, better and easier

40 years of High Quality
SAS Engineering and Planning is on the steel market from 1973.
Its production efficiency and its high certified quality turn SAS into a world leader: SAS, in fact, proposes itself on the market as a benchmark for innovation and research of the best and most convenient ways of production, guaranteeing a service able to satisfy any need of the Customer, who can always benefit from the latest innovations present on the market.
Combined and Chain drawing Lines
SAS Engineering and Planning Drawing Lines are divided into:
– Combined Drawing Lines (drawing by cammes), coil-to-bar, coil-to-coil, bar-to-bar.
– Ferrous Materials (all kinds of steel – middle and low carbon, automated, ball bearings, tools, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.) and non-ferrous (brass, ecobrass, copper, bronze, aluminium, titanium, gold, etc.)
– Standard range of production: Ø 3-10 mm, Ø 5-15 mm, Ø 10-30 mm, Ø 20-42 mm, Ø 30-60 mm
– Chain Drawing Lines (pulling units with different pulling forces) bar-to-bar.
– Ferrous Materials (all kinds of steel – middle and low carbon, automated, ball bearings, tools, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.) and non- ferrous (brass, ecobrass, copper, bronze, aluminium, titanium, gold, etc.).
– Pulling strength: SAS produces chain drawing lines with a pulling force from 5 ton up to 120 tonn. to draw rectangular bars in 350×30 mm
– Drawing Lines for Tubes coil-to-bar & bar-to-bar with the possibility of drawing in automatic both the internal and the external part of the tube.
Production of Peeling Lines
In order to answer precise requirements of the market and to the continous requests from its Customers, in the years SAS Engineering and Planning has extended its range of products, by designing and realizing coil-to-coil, coil-to-bar and bar-to-bar Peeling Lines.
SAS Peeling Lines combine in an effective way technological and innovative solutions with structural solidity and high range performances, in order to enable to adapt to the most rigorous performances by providing high quality and standards of flexibility.
Thanks to a rigorous research and a careful internal development, the SAS Engineering and Planning Peeling Lines guarantee a sensible reduction in vibrations, the achievement of high tolerances and minimal roughnesses of the ferrous materials.
Turn-Key projects
SAS Engineering and Planning designs, installs and tests- internally- every machine for the drawing and peeling of ferrous materials and each piece composing the machine. Thanks to a modern technical office of design and to the use of specifical IT tools, SAS Engineering and Planning makes 3D projects for each machine and for each component. SAS aims at becoming a reliable partner for all its customers.
SAS Engineering and Planning analizes, studies and realizes complete lines of production and proposes itself as a consultant and reliable partner, advising the customers on the opportunities of development.
